Guard | Well-defined cup hilt with long quillons. Spherical pommel with a small flat button. Tapered wooden grip with vertical reinforcements and smooth ring ferrules at both ends. Guard ring in a marked circular arc. Scabbard tip, prism-shaped recess, and smooth point-breaking edge around the entire upper perimeter of the cup. |
Blade | Straight, long, narrow, with a central fuller in the first third, edges on both sides, lightweight, and easy to handle. |
Inscription | IN TOLEDO. Some armorers from the time of the Habsburgs signed their work only with the inscription: “IN TOLEDO” OR “VALENCIA”. |
