Name Officer of the Horse Artillery Brigade model 1855
Mounting Made of brass, with Artillery emblems and the Arms of Spain on the front and back of the central broadening of the branches. “Turkish style” shape with a buttonhole for the retaining strap and two concealed pins on the grip.
Blade Curved, with a ricasso, rounded back on the inside, raised false edge and groove close to the back. Full edge all the way to the tip.
Scabbard Iron, with two clasps and a ring on each.
Inscription ARTILLERY OF HORSE FA D TOLEDO 1857
Description The regulation and use of this saber must have involved many difficulties, as it was replaced by the 1862 model, falling into obscurity.
