Mounting | Made of brass, with Artillery emblems and the Arms of Spain on the front and back of the central broadening of the branches. “Turkish style” shape with a buttonhole for the retaining strap and two concealed pins on the grip. |
Blade | Curved, with a ricasso, rounded back on the inside, raised false edge and groove close to the back. Full edge all the way to the tip. |
Scabbard | Iron, with two clasps and a ring on each. |

Description | The regulation and use of this saber must have involved many difficulties, as it was replaced by the 1862 model, falling into obscurity. |
