Name Troop of the Horse Artillery Brigade model 1855
Guard Made of brass, similar to the officer’s but simpler. “Turkish” or “Mamluk” style, with a slot for the knot and two pins.
Hilt With spiral grooves and Artillery pommel in the center. No hand protection except for the cross quillons.
Blade Curved, with a ricasso, squared back on the inside. Full edge all the way to the tip.
Scabbard Iron, fitted to the blade, feels very flat to the touch.
