Period 12th-13th Century
Guard Made of iron, large flattened ball pommel, missing grip, possibly wood covered with iron wire, crossguard with two elongated rectangular quillons.
Blade Straight and wide, featuring a large central groove, double-edged, tapering slightly to the tip.
Scabbard Made of wood covered with leather, metallic fittings, could be worn crossbody or attached to a belt.

Description Starting in the 11th century, the quillons of European swords began to elongate, taking on a cross-like appearance. During the Middle Ages, knights would swear oaths on their swords.
