Name Sword with Tangs and Bridges “Julián del Rey el Moro”
Period 16th Century
Guard Made of iron, large cylindrical and faceted pommel with twelve faces, wire-wrapped grip with smooth and twisted wires, two braided ferrules, hexagonal quillons, and tangs connected to the bridges.
Blade Straight with a fuller in the strong third, engraved in a zig-zag pattern and a wolf or dog mark. Three flat sides and two edges.
Inscription Mark of the wolf or dog, attributed to Julián del Rey in Spain, used in Passau and Solingen in Germany.
