Period 16th century
Guard Iron with remains of fire-gilding. Knob in the shape of a mushroom and without a pommel. Long grip for two-handed use, covered in velvet and wired without ferrules. Cross guard with long and straight quillons, ending in half-bells. Two bridges for hand protection.
Blade Straight with false guard. Deep groove in the strong third with the name of the gunsmith. Triple fullers and continuous edge to the tip.
