Model Espadín, Security Body, model 1925
Guard Made of alpaca, classic design with simple cross and two horizontal quillons, initials “CS” between olive branches on the obverse and the coat of arms of Spain on the reverse. Three-lobed pommel with “AXIII” and military trophies, spiral-turned ebony grip with copper wire, wide lower ferrule decorated with channels.
Blade Straight, with a false edge and two cutting edges up to the tip.
Scabbard Black leather with silver tip and throat, suspension button with the Coat of Arms of Spain.

Description The police bodies of Security and Surveillance have their origin in the Police of Madrid, established by Royal Decree of November 6, 1877. According to the Royal Order of July 29, 1925, officers used a saber for daily use and espadín when not on duty.
