Grip Made of gilded brass, splendidly chiselled, consisting of a ring, two quillons joined to the bowl, and a knuckle guard with a lion’s head. Monogram “V de la L” under a laurel crown and floral motifs. Knuckle bow decorated with rosette.
Blade Slightly curved, with channels and decorative engravings in the first half. Edge on the outside and false edge on the blade’s inside.
Scabbard Made of iron, with two mounts and their rings.
Inscription ARTA FCA of Toledo. Year 1852
Description In 1868, the National Militia disappears and the Volunteers of Liberty are born, the armed wing of the Progressive Party, with little social consideration and less prestige than the Civil Guard.
