Guard Brass, with ring, three quillons, wide knuckle bow, shell guard and ferrule. Ebony wooden grip, wire-wrapped with copper thread cord. Emblem of the General Staff Corps, five-pointed star between oak branches and beneath a royal crown.
Blade Straight, small ricasso, spine and groove in the first third, three flat surfaces and two edges on the rest.
Scabbard Iron, with chape, two mounts with their rings.
Inscription FA of Toledo. 1845.
Description This sword corresponds to the Line Cavalry Sword model 1832, adapted with the Corps emblem according to the General Staff regulation of September 8, 1843.
