Name Espadín for chiefs, officers, and meritorious members of the Administrative Corps of the Navy
Model 1855
Fittings All made of gilded brass and very well decorated. Decorated trilobular pommel. Tapered grip, on the front side featuring the emblem of the Administrative Corps, a braided cord over an anchor beneath a royal crown. On the reverse, longitudinal grooves. Crossguard with straight quillons, beautifully chiselled. An arabesque is seen in the central polygon.
Blade Straight, with ridges on the first third and a large hollow with engravings. The rest is triple-edged.
Scabbard Black leather with mouthpiece and chape of gilded brass and the Arms of Spain on the button.
Inscription Decorative engravings according to the Royal Order of March 15, 1855.
Validity Two years, from 1855 to 1857.
Replacement Model 1844 Navy saber.
