Name Mounted Artillery Troop Saber Model 1862
Handle Made of three robust brass pieces, single-block bayonet ring with a dome containing the rivet of the tang, reinforced lower pommel with a cylindrical pin. Leather-wrapped grip.
Blade Wide, curved, with a nearly flat spine in its inner two-thirds. The outer edge runs straight to the tip.
Scabbard Made of solid iron, with two clasps and rings. Asymmetrical winged chape.
