Hilt Nickel-plated steel, turned wooden grip covered with sandpaper, tightly wound wire spirals, long guard with gentle curve, upright pommel, narrow knuckle bow, cylindrical cup guard with “A. G.” emblem
Blade Curved with very slight belly, ricasso, square back and edge on the inner part of the blade, full edge on the outer side
Scabbard Nickel-plated iron with two bands and rings

Additional Description The Academy was established by Royal Decree on February 20, 1882, until 1893. Uniform regulation by Royal Order of March 5, 1883. Other versions exist without emblem and some with straight blades.
