Guard Openwork gilt brass cup guard with a dog’s face, Coat of Arms of Spain, and Veterinary emblem with two palm branches and two serpent heads.
Blade Straight, with a ricasso and ridges in the first third, three two-edged fuller sections in the rest.
Scabbard Black leather, brass chape and throat, suspension button for the sword knot.
Inscription TOLEDO-1868
Similarity Identical to the 1886 model Military Health Corps sword, differing only in the emblem which includes two serpents.
