Mounting | Metal with a Turkish design and ebony wooden grips, chiseled ferrule, eyelet for the knot or sword knot, cross of straight wings engraved with the letters “HDP” and the royal cipher “AXIII”. Knot in crimson and gold. |
Blade | Curved, with a ricasso, continuous edge on the outside and spine on the inside; double edges on the blade. |
Scabbard | Iron, rhomboid section, two gold-plated star-shaped bands decorated with floral motifs and rings. |
Inscription | FACA DE TOLEDO. Saber for commanders and officers of the 20th Cavalry Regiment, Pavia Hussars, according to the uniform regulations of the Royal Circular Order dated August 24, 1909. |
Rarity | Scarce and hard to find. Only two cavalry regiments had regulated armament. |
