Guard | Brass, with a small pierced and symmetrical cup. Pommel and knuckle bow in a single piece topped with a lion’s head. Chiseled collar and quillon shaped like a dog’s head. Ebony grip wired with golden twisted wire. On the guard, the Quartermaster emblem between palm branches. |
Blade | Slightly curved, with fullers, round back on four fifths of the inner edge and the first third of the outer edge. The remainder with edges all the way to the tip. |
Scabbard | Iron. One band and its corresponding ring. |
Inscription | FABCA DE TOLEDO. By Royal Decree of November 4, 1911, and with the current Military Administration Corps, the Quartermaster and Intervention Corps were created. “The distinctive emblem of the Quartermaster Corps shall be a sun between two palms in gold, the emblem of the Intervention Corps shall be a sun between two oak branches and retains white or silver.” This saber is evidently of the Quartermaster Corps, with a sun between two palms in gold. |
