Guard | Puerto Seguro type. Closed steel cup, round and progressively narrowing toward the pommel. Grip with two textured synthetic material scales held by screw pins. Civil Guard emblem on the outside of the cup. |
Blade | Not Puerto Seguro. Straight, with flat ricasso, square back on the inner side over two-thirds of its length, continuous cutting edge on the outer side and a fuller running to the ricasso on both faces. Tip aligned with the axis of symmetry. |
Scabbard | Nickel-plated iron, with throat and suspension ring clamp. |
