Name Bayonet-knife model 1941
Guard Straight crossguard with eyelet for the rifle’s muzzle. Checkered and varnished wooden grips secured with two screws. The pommel features a slot, catch, and a spring-loaded button for locking into the firearm’s guide. All metal parts of this guard are parkerized.
Blade Second genuinely Spanish design, directly descended from the falcata. Straight blade with ricasso, square back on the inside and a continuous cutting edge on the outside, with an arched fuller and a hollow grind reaching almost to the tip. Bright polished finish.
Sheath Parkerized iron sheet. Throat held by a screw and a rounded button.
Inscription F.N.T under imperial crown 587/I
Description Bayonet-knife designed for use with the old Mauser rifles, models 1893 and 1916, employed by all Armed Forces. Adapted to their dimensions, and a special addition was made to the guide under the barrel for the Mauser model 1943 carbine.
