Hilt Completely gilded brass, with knuckle guard and a double shell that ends with a chiselled “galluelo” in leaves. In the front cup, arms of Spain under a royal crown, flanked by two palm branches. Grip forming a twisted cord cast around. Pommel shaped like a clover with a button.
Blade Straight, with a moustache and the rest, two edges tapering to the point.
Scabbard Black leather with a smooth, gilded metal tip and chape.
Inscription Long live King D. Alfonso FCA DE TOLEDO 1875
Description Sword that belonged to an officer of the Alfonsine Army, as inferred from the inscription on the blade, which recalls the battles in which he likely participated: Lácar, Treviño, Montejurra, and Estella.
