Name Artillery Machete, model 1802
Hilt Made of brass, well designed and polished, with straight quillons, directed crossguard, slightly towards the tip. One with stirrup guard and the other without guard, both with ring pommel and cylindrical grip with thick spiral grooves.
Blade Cutlass-shaped, with ricasso. With one, two, and three fullers respectively.
Scabbard Leather, protected by five gilded brass fittings. Two openings for the bayonet pins.

Description This unique machete was made with different grips, comparing this entry and the previous one. It shows differences in the stirrup guards and a third one, on this same page, without ring guard.
