Blade | With a false edge, slightly curved, bold continuous edge on the outside, back for the first two-thirds and edge on the last third. Wide and shallow fullers. |
Scabbard | Black leather with brass fittings. |
Description | These sabers were part of a ship’s equipment and not part of the Navy’s uniform. Used by midshipmen, artillerymen, sailors, or infantrymen. |
