Name Official Ceñir Sword “Sharpshooters’ Award” Model 1880
Hilt Gold-colored brass fittings, with guard and double shell with chiselled dog-head finial. Badge of the Sharpshooters’ Insignia on the front cup.
Blade Straight, with a fuller and rounded back in the first third. Two edges on three sides in the remaining two-thirds.
Scabbard Black leather with a metal tip and locket in smooth gold-colored metal, with a button for suspending the sword.
Inscription Insignia of “Sharpshooters’ Badge”. Regulation sword for Infantry officer, model 1867. Replacement of the Spanish shield with the Sharpshooters’ Insignia on the shell and blade.
