| Mounting | Brass, with a continuous guard fitting into a decorated ferrule with grooves. Short base plate with a small quillon from which the ring and three hooks arise, shield with the Arms of Spain and the initials “G C”. Wooden grip with copper wire wrapping. | 
| Blade | Classic Isabeline style, straight, with rounded backs, two grooves in the first third, and three flat surfaces forming two edges to the tip. | 
| Scabbard | Iron, with chape, two fittings each with rings, and asymmetrical tip. | 
| Inscription | FABRICA DE TOLEDO 1864. The Duke of Ahumada, Director of the Corps, wanted that from the moment this Institute was founded, it would be uniformly “showy and elegant”. |
