Hilt | Very short-lived weapon with a brass grip, almost cylindrical, with flat sides and front and back decorated with twelve rays, central circle with a tetralobular knot, pommel in a fifteenth-century-style helmet with horizontal slots, initials “GC” and the ends of the quillons with lions in a resting pose. |
Blade | Wide, with a broad ricasso, back rounded inside and cutting edge on the rest, featuring an extended cutting design and a gentle curve towards the tip for proper center of gravity placement. |
Scabbard | Leather-covered, with brass gilt throat and chape, and a loop for the sword belt. |
