Model	Official General Army Sabre 1881
Hilt	Simple, nickel-plated iron, with a narrow, slightly concave cup-shaped pommel, a long cylindrical quillon, and two parallel rectangular eyelets.
Blade	With minimal taper, curved spine in the first third outward and inward towards the blade. Edges present in the rest. Close channels near the spines. Shallow hollowing with engravings and gilding.
Scabbard	Metallic with two bands and two rings. Since 1894, with a single ring.
Inscription	ARTILLERY TOLEDO MANUFACTURING – Sabre from the uniform regulation for the General Staff of the Army 1882, approved on December 30, 1881.
Observation	Has only one ring, manufactured after 1894.
