Hilt	Made of two solid brass blocks, with grip imitating lanceolate leaves, lion’s head pommel, and a powerful crossguard with straight quillons ending in fluted domes.
Blade	Wide, with a broad ricasso, rounded back with an inward false edge, cutting edge on the outside, gentle curve, and widening towards the blade’s tip, useful for the soldier.
Scabbard	Leather, with brass throat and chape.
Inscription	FABCA DE TOLEDO 1875
Additional Description	The 1843 regulations state that the central shield will bear the regimental number, which in many cases is absent for economic or distribution reasons.
