Name Swords with Cups
Period 18th Century
Guard Made of iron, very sturdy, composed of a brass pommel in a spinning top shape with a knob. Flat and thick cup with lobed edges. Excessively twisted quillons in the opposite direction. Cylindrical counterguard with notch. Handguard ring. Decoration of iron “olives” covered in brass.
Blade Straight, with gentle grooves in the first quarter and a fuller almost to the tip. Edge on the inside and outside along its entire length.
