Guard | Made of iron, stylized and balanced, with a cup-shaped guard. Features a knuckle guard, ring, and straight quillons ending in small spheres turned in opposite directions. The grip is wrapped with a combination of twisted wires of iron and copper. The pommel is spherical and is engraved with a helmet with flags, spears, drums, and cannons. |
Blade | Straight, with a very short ricasso and two edges extending to the tip. Three flat surfaces in the first third, two in the remainder with the corresponding central ridge. Forged in the 19th century. |

Description | Officers of the Navy used espadines with a gilded cup-shaped guard, those of the Royal Guard with a silver guard, and those from the rest of the “Royal Armies” were made of iron, like the one presented here, with military references: spears, flags, standards, war drums, helmets, and cannons. |
