Hilt Made of alpacca, with a knuckle guard or hand ring, two slightly curved quillons, full pommel ending in a lion’s head, smooth ferrule at the base, cylindrical langet turned toward the blade, wooden grip covered with sharkskin and wrapped with triple wire winding, two scabbard fittings shaped like small shields.
Blade Curved, with a corded back that reaches the tip, allowing a false edge on the blade, cutting edge along the entire outer portion.
Scabbard Alpacca, with two mounts and their corresponding rings.
Inscription FABRICA DE TOLEDO
Description Elegant yet sober saber for officers from the Isabeline period, a non-regulation weapon that any officer could purchase privately for personal equipment.
