Description of the Order | Order established with the approval of Pope Benedict XIII, independent from the Order of Calatrava. It adopts the same cross but changes the color from the red of Calatrava to the green of Alcántara. It was Grand Mastery of King Ferdinand the Catholic. Efforts in defense of Christendom and the fight against the occupation of Spain. |
