Hilt | Brass, with a chiseled globular pommel resting on a diabolo-shaped base. Solid, tapered grip with musical attributes. Straight quillons, fully worked, central polygonal escutcheon with anchor and cleat. |
Blade | Straight, with a square spine on the inside up to mid-length. Cutting edge running to the tip, aligned with the symmetry axis. No ricasso. |
Scabbard | Black leather with gilt brass throat and chape. Suspension button with a profile effigy. |
Inscription | ARTA FABA DE TOLEDO 1879. Regulation machete for Infantry Corps Musician according to the Royal Order of September 7, 1852. Specimens made for different Arms and Corps, only changing the emblem. |
