Guard Isabeline style, gilded brass, cross-shaped. Spanish coat of arms between two rampant lions.
Grip Spiral-wrapped ebony wood.
Pommel Bomb or grenade and lictor’s fasces among oak branches.
Blade Straight, with ricasso and decoration on the first third.
Scabbard Black leather with gilded throat and chape.
Inscription JM, Spanish coat of arms, and decorative designs.
Approved Model By the Director General of the Branch on February 23, 1843.
