Description | Weapon belonging to the group of saber variants for Light Cavalry officers from the 1825 decade. Within this group, sabers appeared with differences—within an order—in both guard and blade, all resulting from the range of possibilities offered to purchasing officers. This was a direct consequence of the economic level or rank, officer or commander, of the prospective user, and even whether they desired it for presentation or combat. For the latter purpose, the one represented here met all the conditions. |
