Guard	Same as the considered type model. Robust guard with a solid look, cast in thick brass blocks and decorated with curved, straight, and angular lines. Engineers’ emblem tower in the center of the cross and a simple decorative diamond on the reverse.
Blade	Straight, double-edged along its entire length, converging towards the tip.
Scabbard	Leather, with a brass mouthpiece and chape.

Description	This machete corresponds to the 1861 Infantry model and is specially marked for Engineers. It is very possible that there are variants adapted to other Arms or Corps.
