Guard Brass, sturdy, globular pommel chiselled on a diabolo base, solid grip with musical attributes, simulated ferrule, cross of hawks with central escutcheon and emblem of the National Militia “MN”.
Blade Bigotera and double edges on a flat surface elsewhere.
Sheath Black leather with a brass-gilded throat and chape, featuring a button that is a female effigy.

Description Regulation machete for Infantry Musician, according to the Royal Order of September 7, 1852. It bears the number of the regiment or battalion, in this case with the emblem of the National Militia. Also used by Engineers, Spanish Navy, and Royal Carabineers.
