Name Military Administration Officer model 1907
Guard White metal cup guard with cutouts based on vegetal motifs. Knuckle bow features a lion’s head with a long mane, secured at the bottom by a ferrule. Grip made of wood covered with sandpaper and wire-wrapped with golden cord. Military Administration emblem under a smoothed royal crown, possibly altered during the Second Republic.
Blade Slightly curved, with backs on the first third on the outside and edges on the other two thirds up to the ricasso. The inner back is usually a bit longer. The blade’s surfaces form, starting from the guard, a unique succession of flats in this order: one, two, three, and two.
Scabbard Made of alpaca metal, with one band and its ring.
Inscription ARTA FABA DE TOLEDO 1889. The Royal Order of September 11, 1907, states that the Military Administration’s small sword shall be white and bear the Corps emblem. Likewise, this saber also shows the Corps emblem, a sun with rays, between oak and palm leaves beneath a royal crown. ART FAB DE TOLEDO 1889.
