Guard | very short crossguard, with an inner hawk’s eye for the muzzle opening and two wooden grips held by two screws. It has a cleaning groove at the base of the grips. The pommel features a latch, button, and spring for attaching to the rifle. The metal parts are made of burnished steel. There is no iron plate on the inner part of the handle as protection against rifle muzzle flashes. |
Blade | straight, with a ricasso, continuous cutting edge on the outside and a squared back on the inside with a final false edge. It has a fuller running almost its entire length. Point aligned with the axis of symmetry. |

Additional Description | A Mauser carbine with slight differences from the 1943 model was prepared for the Air Force. Regarding its bayonet, there are two versions: one with a muzzle ring and one without, both intended for the mentioned variant called model 1944, which lacked the typical ferrule or additional collar of the 1943 model. Both resemble the German bayonets models 1871-84 and 1884-98. |
