Name MONTANTE “Seven Crosses”
Period 16th Century
Guard Made of white iron. Large pear-shaped pommel, tapered and long wooden grip wrapped in leather, without ferrules. Cross guard with long, straight quillons, flat buttons, and two bars for hand protection.
Blade Straight, very long with false edge, seven crosses as the armorer’s mark, triple fuller, and a running edge up to the tip.
