Guard | Large fully pierced brass cup, long quillon with stepped pommel, cylindrical knuckle bow, grooved wooden grip covered with sandpaper and wired (missing on this specimen), oval Isabeline shield under royal crown. |
Blade | Straight, with ricasso and three edges sharpened on both sides to the tip. |
Scabbard | Iron, with two bands and corresponding rings, short flap guard, wide-mouthed throat to facilitate sheathing. |

Description | Queen’s Guards squadron, created in January 1852 with a strength of about 100 men, dissolved in August 1854 for political reasons. This weapon remains as testimony. |
