Hilt Steel construction, guard ring, three elegant and flat “S”-shaped quillons, pommel and grip made with two checkered scales secured by screw pins and washers. Royal cypher of Felipe VI “FVI”. Safety catch for officers.
Blade Puerto Seguro model, straight blade with ricasso, square back on the inner side, sharp edge on the outer side and flat-ground fullers on each face. Fuller runs along the back on the last third.
Scabbard Iron with clasp, loop, and one ring.
Inscription ROYAL ESCORT 2014 Felipe VI 1975 Juan Carlos I
Description Sword for the Cuirassiers section of the Royal Escort Squadron, identical to the one made in 2001 for Juan Carlos I but bearing the royal cypher “FVI” and current king’s name “2014 Felipe VI”. Used by officers and troops.
