Fittings | Made of gilded silver with enamels and filigree decorations. Ovoid pommel with a large knob. Tapered grip in ivory decorated with arabesques, small shells, and two silver rings. Ornate crossguard with eight-pointed stars and crosses, curved quillons turned toward the blade with serpent heads. Epigraphic inscriptions featuring psalms from the Quran. |
Blade | Straight, double-edged, with a central hollow on the first third and the rest in a lenticular shape. |
Scabbard | Made of Cordovan leather, richly adorned with gold and silver fittings. Two rings for suspension. |

Description | Belonged to Boabdil el Chico (Abu Abd Allah) of the Nazarí dynasty. Born in 1459, he was captured at the Battle of Lucema in 1487, and this sword was gifted to the Catholic Monarchs. |
