Guard	Openwork brass bowl, ring, two quillons, Army emblem under imperial crown, pommel in lion’s head shape, grip with two black checkered resin scales.
Blade	Puerto Seguro model, straight, with moustache guard, square back inside, sharp edge on the outside, rectangular fuller, tip aligned with symmetry axis.
Scabbard	Iron, fixed drag with two screws and a clasp with its ring.
Sword knot	Woven cord with gold thread for dress use and black thread cord and acorn for everyday use.
Inscription	FABRICA NACIONAL TOLEDO, FNT under imperial crown.
Regulation	Uniform Regulations of January 27, 1943, straight sword, Puerto Seguro type for chiefs and officers.
