Fittings Gold-plated brass, pommel with helmet and feathers, grip with galloons, guard with number 1741, “coquille” type cup with inscription “nº 5 APPROVED BY HIS MAJESTY in 1818”.
Blade Straight, with small crossguard, three fullers, and two edges up to the point.
Sheath Serpent-shaped with brass throat and end cap, suspension button for the baldric.
Inscription RL FAÐ TO 1818, n° 5 APPROVED BY HIS MAJESTY IN 1818 (on the cup).
Description Very rare to find; it was only in service for four years. A similar sword is displayed at the Army Museum in Toledo, with differences in the grip and blade length.
