Guard made of brass, with a handguard in ring shape and three quillons in an “S” position very low
Shell short with oval hat and decorated profile with laurel leaves
Hilt made of ebony wood, very well wired with a triple row of copper wire, with the monogram “RG” under a royal crown
Blade with a marked arrow shape, without grooves or channels but with a fuller, round spine in the first third and edge in the rest
Scabbard made of leather, with three fittings of gilded brass
Inscription RL FAÐ TOLEDO under the throat the number 128
Description Some companies of provincial militias were part of the Royal Provincial Guard in the service of King Ferdinand VII; the officer sabres have a common denominator.
