Fittings | A mix of various regulatory models from the Army at different times. It features a guard made of gilded brass, including a bulbous pommel with the organization’s insignia and a cylindrical grip. The grip is wooden, fully wrapped in reddish copper wire, with straight crossguards and a decorated ring. On the front shell, it presents, within two concentric circles, the emblem of the Red Cross surrounded by olive branches and under a royal crown. |
Blade | Straight, with a ricasso and, on the rest, two edges up to the tip. |
Sheath | Black leather, with gilded tip and throat. The same emblem is repeated on the button. |

Description | The Swiss reformer and philanthropist Jean Henri Dunant, Nobel Peace Prize winner, was the driving force behind the Red Cross in 1864 following the disaster of the Battle of Solferino in 1859. Spain, in turn, was a co-founder of the International Red Cross. |
