Guard | Made of gilded brass, shell type with sail, cipher of King Alfonso VI “AVI” under the royal crown. Wooden grip wire-wrapped with copper thread and reinforced with longitudinal strips. Pommel in the shape of a helmet with a plume. Crossguards with ends turned in opposite directions. |
Blade | Straight, with fuller, flat spine, concave in the first two thirds, edge along the entire exterior, lenticular section blade. |
Scabbard | Metallic, with a throat and a clamp with its ring. |

History | This Corps was established in 1782, under King Carlos III. The title of Royal was added in 1904. Its full name was “Royal Collegiate Corps of Knights Hijodalgo of the Nobility of Madrid.” Its motto is: “Ex virtute nobilitas.” |
