Guard | In gilded iron, elegant, with two open S-shaped quillons and a circular arch ring. Well-defined knuckle bow ending in a circle and turned towards the blade. Complete pommel in the shape of a lion’s head. Ivory grip with wire wrapping and copper thread. Small shields on the crossguard for the scabbard. |
Blade | Straight, with hardly any ricasso, wide hollow grind up to the tip, flat spine on the inside in the first two-thirds, and running edge on the outside and at the tip. |
SCABBARD | Made of iron, with two large gilded brass mounts, two rings, and a chape also made of brass, all very ornate. |

Description | Luxurious and whimsical sword, with guard in the French fashion and in gilded steel, similar to the Napoleonic “An IX” saber. Used by cavalry officers with sufficient means to acquire it. |
