Guard in gilded brass. Ring, two quillons, complete knuckle guard with lion’s head, fluted ferrule, knuckle bow turned towards the blade, and scabbard guides with a good-sized escutcheon featuring an anchor and a hawser.
Blade straight, flat-backed on the interior in the first half and sharp along the rest. On the exterior, the edge runs to the tip. Antique blade.
Scabbard leather with three gilded mounts and two rings on the first two pieces.
Inscription Year 1806
Description Spanish sword of a style similar to those used by the British Navy in the early 19th century. Very similar to the future 1844 model of the Spanish Navy.
