Guard Gold-plated iron, cross guard with straight cylindrical quillons, square cross-section to protect the blade, tapered wooden grip wired, curved pommel.
Blade Straight, narrow and very long, with a point, double-edged and four facets. Copper-filled mark of the smith.
Description Arzón estoque or saddle sword, designed for use while mounted, functioning like a lance.

Ownership It appears to have belonged to Don Juan de Austria and was listed in the inventory of swords of King Charles I of Spain.
