Guard Completely gilded brass, with straight and chiseled cross-guards. Protruding knob over a globular pommel with significant protrusions. Tapered grip, highly worked, with arms of Spain over a lion under a royal crown. Slightly lobed front shell with the emblem of the Telegraph Corps.
Blade Straight, thin, with flat ridges in the first third and the rest, two edges on three flats.
Scabbard Made of leather, with gilded brass fittings and cap. Suspension button in the shape of a bouquet.
Inscription FABRICA DE TOLEDO. In 1831, the first optical telegraph system was installed between Madrid, Aranjuez, and San Ildefonso. The Telegraph Corps was created on April 22, 1855, organized by Army engineer J.M. Mathé.
