Guard stirrup-style, Hungarian, in gilded brass with the classic architecture of these sabers; full backstrap, simple ring in double curvature, knuckle guard ending in a circle and slightly turned towards the blade, large guides for the scabbard in the shape of a small shield.
Blade Curved, with a deep hollow grind. Cutting edge on the outside and, on the inside, a square spine in the first two-thirds and cutting edge in the rest.
Scabbard gilded brass with two fittings and their corresponding rings. Large sized tip.
Inscription RL FAÐ TOLEDO (on the spine)
Description Sleek, robust, and lightweight saber, contemporary with other examples featuring two and three quillons. It is part of the wide variety of sabers of this type that Spanish officers employed between 1803 and 1860.
